Dominican University of California hosts its annual Spirit Week, October 27–29, 2011. We invite you to explore our campus, experience Dominican traditions, attend academic and athletic events and meet with students, alumni, faculty, staff and friends. Spirit Week culminates in the Inauguration of President Mary B. Marcy on October 29.

Thursday, October 27, 2011 celebrates Dominican’s Ideals of Service and Reflection. Today you can attend academic sessions that highlight service-learning and the importance of a global perspective; learn about student and faculty volunteer activities at the community service fair; watch student dance performances; and attend an alumni reception hosted by President Marcy. |

Friday, October 28, 2011, honors the Dominican Ideal of Study. Experience Dominican from the student perspective: attend classes, learn about "Big History," meet with faculty and advisors and take in a Penguin’s soccer game. Evening festivities include a comedy show for students and parent reception hosted by President Marcy.

On Saturday, October 29, 2011, Dominican celebrates the Inauguration of President Mary B. Marcy, Ninth President of Dominican. We start the day with a continental breakfast followed by the annual Shield Ceremony. Inaugural Procession precedes the Installation Ceremony, which is immediately followed by the Inauguration Luncheon.
