The Student Health Center at Dominican University of California is committed to quality care and the promotion of optimal health. We encourage disease prevention and health awareness in our student clients. The Health Center is staffed by a nurse practitioner who has advanced education in primary health care and an emergency medical technician / coordinator. They work in collaboration with a physician consultant. Services at the Health Center are available to all students enrolled at Dominican University of California.
Visits to the Student Health Center are confidential. Medical records will not be released to anyone without prior written consent of the student.
California state law requires that students under the age of 18 need the informed consent of a parent or a legal guardian before care or treatment can be given at the Student Health Center. However, if the care involves reproductive health issues (i.e., pregnancy or sexually transmitted diseases) no parental consent can be sought, by law
