Visits to the Student Health Center are confidential. Medical records will not be released to anyone without prior written consent of the student.
California state law requires that students under the age of 18 need the informed consent of a parent or a legal guardian before care or treatment can be given at the Student Health Center. However, if the care involves reproductive health issues (i.e., pregnancy or sexually transmitted diseases) no parental consent can be sought, by law. Go to Health Forms for form.
The Student Health Center is located in Bertrand Hall, Room 100 and is open five days a week during fall and spring semesters when classes are in session. Daily hours are posted on the office door and on the voice mail message.
