Dana Blaine - Communications Major
Dana is what we call a ‘superstar intern’. She participated in three meaningful internships throughout her academic program at Dominican and highly recommends that students complete more than just one internship, if possible. During her internship at Comcast SportsNet, she developed marketing skills, learned about public relations and was exposed a lot of sports content. This opportunity provided practical work experience in an area she loves. She recently accepted and started a new position as Associate Account Manager for a digital advertising and marketing agency in Marin County. She also plans to start DU's MBA program in Spring 2015. Dana has a well-rounded set of skills which, in addition to marketing and public relations, includes social media, graphic design and communication.

She also had the opportunity to sit in on appointments and check-ups and communicate with patients, her favorite aspect of the internship. Leeanne's career goal is to go to medical school and pursue a profession in Pediatrics. She attributes her motivation to her relationships with Dominican's faculty and staff.

Additionally, this internship further developed her research skills and sparked her interest in graduate school.
