Head Coach Ned Webster

Ned Webster, 32, hails from Baltimore, Maryland, where he grew up as part of a lacrosse family: his father Mickey was a Hall of Famer at Johns Hopkins University, while his older brothers, Jim and John, played lacrosse at the University of Virginia and the University of North Carolina, respectively.  Webster played high school lacrosse at perennial nationally-ranked Boys’ Latin School, and then headed to South Bend, Indiana, home of the University of Notre Dame, where he suffered a career-ending knee injury his senior year.  Afterwards, Webster pursued a coaching career, relocating to Western Australia to coach a men’s lacrosse club before coming back to the United States to Dominican University of California.  He now enters his third season as the Penguins' head coach, and has finished his first season as assistant coach for Major League Lacrosse team the San Francisco Dragons.

 

Assistant Coach Tim Booth

Tim Booth comes to the program from the professional San Francisco Dragons of the MLL as well as the San Jose Stealth of the NLL. A four year professional lacrosse player, Booth excelled in both football and lacrosse at Hobart College, earning All American honors as a linebacker in football in 2002 and was named Defensive Player of the Year in the Upstate Collegiate Athletic Association. He helped Hobart win two UCAA Championships and NCAA appearances in 2000 and 2002.

 

Assistant Coach Mike Hennessy

Mike Hennessy comes to the program from Quinnipiac University, where he was a four year starter, excelling at defense, long stick midfield and facing off. Hennessy made the All-New England and All-Great Western Lacrosse League, leading his team in ground balls.

 

Assistant Coach Mike Golden

Mike Golden is an alumnus of Dominican University where he was a two-time team captain. He was named Team MVP in 2005 and was named Most Unselfish Player in 2006, leading the team in assists both seasons.
