Important to Note

Consider there will be 3,000 people arriving at the same time driving through the neighborhood to Dominican. We recommend adding 45 minutes to your driving time and that you arrive on campus by 8:45 a.m. This will give you ample time to find parking, walk over to the tent and find a seat by 9:30 a.m. to welcome the graduates as they process to their seats.

Graduates will process to the tent at 9:45 a.m. It is a very special and exciting moment for our guests. We respectfully ask the guests to remain at their seats and allow the graduates, faculty and platform party to process into the tent as they make their way to be seated.

In consideration of your neighbor, please refrain from using air horns and loud noisemakers during the ceremony.

Event Parking

Those travelling to Commencement are encouraged to carpool to the event. The closest parking lots are the Conlan Lot located on Grand Avenue and the Kennelly Field Lot located on Belle Avenue. We highly recommend parking at Kennelly Field, as this lot is the closest and easiest area to depart after the ceremony.

Exiting Dominican

Just as many guests will arrive at the same time, so will be true with exiting Dominican.  It is slow going through a neighborhood with many stop signs.  We ask for your patience – and once again suggest carpooling.

Accommodations

Visitors traveling from out of town who require overnight accommodations are encouraged to reserve hotel rooms early. There are many events in Marin around the time of our Commencement and hotels book up quickly. Consider inquiring at your hotel if shuttle service to campus is available.
