Rizza

I am a senior majoring in Bio/Pre-med with a minor in Chemistry. After Dominican I plan to go to Medical school and become an OB/GYN. I love the company of my friends and family. Bargain shopping and eating are my hobbies. I love Dominican because since its a small university, I am able to establish quality relationships between my collegues and professors. This year alone, I am the Senior Representative in ASDU (Associated Students of Dominican University) student government, captain of the Student Ambassador Program, and president of the Asian club. I am also involved in the Honors Program and numerous Honors Societies on campus. This summer I will be in New York doing biomedical research at the Gene Center in Hunter College.

Document It Just Keeps Getting Better
Rizza - Wednesday July 2, 2008 - Itʼs been a month since I came to New York and I love every minute of it. A lot has happened since Iʼve blogged and Iʼm super excited to see what the future will be like after my summer in New York. One thing to note about me is that I love meeting new people all the time. I feel blessed because New York has been so kind to me.
Document California Girl in New York City
Rizza - Tuesday, June 10, 2008 - So summer is finally here and I am currently in New York City doing a biomedical internship at the Gene Center in Hunter College. It’s my first week here and I already feel right at home. It’s quite funny because a lot of the locals can tell I’m from California because I don’t jay-walk like them (I’m the only one on the street corner waiting for the “walking man” light to come on). Nonetheless, I am doing a good job adapting to a temporary lifestyle in New York City!
