Spring Fling
Gretchen - Wednesday February 6th 2008 - The semester is off to a great start! Winter break was packed with events and now its time to hit the books! I'm excited for the semester and especially for spring!
Well spring isn't here yet, but spring semester is and school is in full gear! The last couple of months went by super fast and winter break was a blast. The reality of school has officially set in once again. I have lots of reading and research to do for my senior thesis.
The Dominican Grrls are in preparation for V-DAY, V-DAY is a movement created by Eve Ensler who is the author of The Vagina Monologues. There will be two showings of this and all of the money will go to prevent violence against women. V-DAY was created to promote violence awareness against women and help raise money for organizations that help women in dangerous situations. All of the money raised will be donated to V-DAY and MAWS (Marin Abused Women's Services) a local organization. Show dates will be February 29th and March 1st.
I have also been working at my internship. I have been promoted to personal assistant. It is so much work, but its fun to be given more responsibility within my field. I am currently working at Jewish and Family Children's Service here in Marin. I am gaining work experience within the psychological field and it has been a great experience!
