Happy November!
Gretchen - Thursday, November 08, 2007 - Hey all! I hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful month we've been having. I think fall is the perfect season here at Dominican, there are colorful leaves everywhere and it's just beginning to get cold! What a blessing! Well classes are coming to a close and the increased levels of work is adding up fast!
November is very busy at school for many students, we have papers and projects due almost every week. I just started interning at Jewish Family and Children Services it's an organization that provides social necessities for the elderly and support groups for children and their parents, there are also many psychologist in the building that provide low cost therapy to clients. It's a great organization located in Marin, it's very neat to get to work with the surrounding community here at Dominican.
I don't know about you guys and gals, but I love Thanksgiving, for many of our students it's the first time we have been home since summer time. I haven't been home since August so I am really excited to see my family and sleep in my own bed back home! I'm also excited to eat, eat, eat and then take a really long nap! I'm from Seattle so it will be really cold I'm not excited for that! Oh but I am excited that it could snow! It snowed last year when I went home for Thanksgiving! I will be keeping my fingers crossed!
