Spring Break!
David - Tuesday, March 18, 2008- Spring break update. Stayed here at Dominican, worked in admissions, and continued working on projects for students.
Well, spring break for DU was last week and it was very very boring at times since not many students were around but let's just say, I made the best out of it. It felt really good staying here and not having to worry about classes and most importantly, getting up early! My body really needed the extra rest! And since it was so empty here at DU, the residences halls were so quiet! I was actually able to sleep in until 10!
To make sure I don't run out of money before Maryland and Galapagos, I worked in admissions. Basically I did data entry and gave tons of tours to students. It was fun and I have to admit, this has been by far the best weather to give a tour to students. Usually, DU spring break is filled with rain in the forecast but mother earth bestowed us with sun and clear skies! I was happy! But it was a downer working inside and looking outside and seeing beautiful weather.
Well, the first weekend of spring break, I went to Santa Cruz with my friend Darcel and her boyfriend. This was my second time in Santa Cruz. We walked around the boardwalk and just drove around the area. It was so much fun and it was great getting away from DU campus for a while.
As I said in my previous blog, I am running for ASDU President and right now, I am working on my you tube videos as my campaign. It's going to be an interesting election and I will be sure to let you all know how it turns out.
