The Start of Spring Semester!
Amanda - Tuesday, February 19, 2008 - So much has been going on with the start of the new semester! After finally settling back into campus, I have been able to catch up on the time missed over Christmas break with all of my friends. I have had so much fun while working hard on all the assignments in my classes this spring semester. I have enjoyed hanging out on campus as well as downtown with my friends while getting some homework done too :)

I hope you all are doing well and enjoying the new year as much as I am! I cannot believe that its already mid - February. School has been great, a lot more work than last semester but I have kept up with it all and am doing a great job. I love new classes because I get to meet new people or get to know fellow acquaintances a lot better. I was luck y enough to get a parking spot on campus and was able to bring my car up at the conclusion of winter break. Its been nice to get around easily and also head downtown to spend time with my friends and catch a movie and some dinner.
I also have a fun new part added to my schedule: volunteering at one of the local pre-school's for my liberal studies program. I am able to help out twice a week at Saint Raphael's Preschool and spend quality time with each of the children. My favorite of the two days would have to be Monday because I am able to spend play time and outside time with the children. I am so lucky to be in a program like Dominican's that has Freshman liberal studies majors already in the classroom both observing and interacting with the children. They are so adorable and always make me laugh!
It's been fun hanging out around town with my friends - the weather has been beautiful the past few weeks! Everyone was sitting around campus or laying out in the sun and soaking in the rays. It was so relaxing! This past Presidents weekend, I went home and got to spend time with my friends and family. It was a nice time away but now I have to get back into school mode and catch up on some homework!
