Coming to The End

Hey Everyone!

I hope you all are doing well and the "decision time" has been somewhat easy for you. I cannot tell you how quickly your freshman year goes by - I can't believe I have just a few weeks left. Yesterday was a sad day - my last time observing at the pre-school. It was such a wonderful experience and I love how Dominican puts you into the classroom your first year here. I learned so much from both the teachers and the students, inbetween the copying and glitter projects!

As I said, this week is our last full week of classes. Next week, we have Monday and Tuesday classes, Wednesday being a study day and Thursday and Friday being finals! I will be spending most of this weekend locked up in my dorm room studying like crazy! I also have to start packing everything that I brought with me in August - thats going to be a lot of work! I cannot wait for a summer to go to the beach and the lake and just relax with family and friends. Being from Southern California, I am going to miss the bay area and San Francisco! I love being so close to the city.

I just took this weekend off of school work and spent it all hanging out with my friends around San Rafael and Union Square in SF. I saw a movie on Friday in Fairfax, a fun town about 15 minutes or so from Dominican. Then Saturday, I went to Union Square and shopped the day away with a couple of close friends. Sunday, I worked for a while then went to the Campus Ministry BBQ out on the library lawn - it was a huge success!

Luckily I had so much fun this past weekend because this weekend I really have to study and focus on finals! With the end of school work, I have been preparing portfolios and am turning a few in tomorrow. It will be such a relief to get those off of my shoulders. Other than that, classes have been pretty laid back with final reviews. I cannot wait for next Wedesday because Midnight Madness will be hosted in the cafeteria. Who doesn't love breakfast at midnight!

Other than that, I look forward to seeing my parents when they come up to help me move out all of my stuff and take it back home. I miss them and cant wait to take them to my favorite restaurants in town! It is sad to think about leaving my friends and roommates that I have gotten so close to this past year. Although we are from different parts of California, we look forward to making the distance into fun trips to visit eachother!
