April Fools Day
Amanda - Tuesday, April 1st, 2008 - The past few weeks have been mellow and laid back. I haven't had too much homework or exams so I have been spending time with my family and friends. I had a wonderful Easter weekend at home and had a great fieldtrip yesterday and saturday class this past Saturday.

I hope your all doing great and school is going well. Everything has been great for me, I haven't had much homework or exams the past few weeks and have been relaxing. With the lovely weather lately, my friends and I have spent the afternoons out on campus enjoying the sunshine and the nice warm days we have been having.
This past weekend, I just kicked back and rented a bunch of movies from blockbuster with my friends. We also went to a local mall and browsed the shops for a while. I had my Physical Development of the Child class this past Saturday and it was so much fun! It was the last meeting for the rest of the year so my group and I gave our presentation on nutrition and handed in the homework we completed.
On Sunday, we just hung out around campus and yesterday, Cesar Chavez day, we had off here at Dominican. My science teacher planned an all day fieldtrip to the local national park Point Reyes on the coast of Marin. I have never been to that area before but I loved it - everything at the park was gorgeous and I loved how diverse the area was. My friends and I made a mini-road trip out of the required field trip, drove out there together and we loved it! The beautiful rolling hills and the beaches were beautiful sights as we hiked throughout the day. I am looking forward to going back and hiking with my friends again soon.
Other than that, I have had a pretty simple few weeks. The preschool has been closed for their spring break over the past few weeks but I get to go back again this Thursday. I cannot wait to see the students again - I love helping out in the classroom. I am also excited for the Admitted Student Open House this weekend - the last one was a blast and I know this one will be just as good! I hope to see you all there and have a wonderful time at our beautiful campus!
