Kati Anderson Bell, Ed.D.
Kati Anderson Bell has over 15 years working in the field of international education at five universities in three different countries. Most recently she worked at San Jose State University coordinating the faculty led overseas programs and serving as the assistant director for study abroad programs. Previous to SJSU, Kati worked for the Queensland University of Technology in Brisbane, Australia, managing the administrative side of an on-campus research institute. Additionally, she spent seven years coordinating the Study Abroad programs at San Francisco State University, while finishing her MA in German literature.
Through the US Peace Corps, Kati also taught English and American culture studies in Zhytomir, Ukraine. Kati's professional focus is on comprehensive campus internationalization and she is looking forward to contributing her knowledge in this area to engage the faculty and students of Dominican University.

Vaolele Stawiarski has worked in international education for over 10 years. She joined Dominican University of California in November 2006. She grew up in a U.S. military family and, as a result, has moved around a lot and interacted with people from all over the world since she was very young. Although she has lived in many places, she considers herself an islander at heart: She is of Japanese/ Samoan/Tokelauan heritage.
Ms. Stawiarski is a dedicated internationalist and her mission at Dominican University of California is to help build and sustain a campus that is welcoming to students and faculty from various cultures. Vaolele is fluent in English and Japanese and proficient in Samoan.
After studying abroad her junior year of college at the Univeraita Degli Studi in Padova, Italy, Giulia Welch has sustained a passion for all things international throughout her career. In addition to being the Study Abroad Coordinator, Giulia teaches in the School of Business and Leadership, focusing on Cross-Cultural Management, Leadership and Business Communications. As the Director for Student Leadership Initiatives for the Institute for Leadership Studies she runs the Global Ambassadors Program. Global Ambassadors focuses on developing the leadership skills of our international students and building a strong awareness for our global cultures here on campus.
Before coming to Dominican, Welch worked in the publishing industry, managing all communications for Isabel Allende’s literary office, acting as the primary interface for literary agents, publishers and publicists in the U.S., Europe and South America. Prior to that, at AT&T/Lucent Technologies Welch held a wide variety of marketing and business development roles working extensively in Eurpoe, India and Latin America. Fluent in Italian and Spanish, she holds an MPA from the Monterrey Institute of International Studies with a concentration in International Business and a BA in Comparative Literature (English and Italian) from the University of California at Santa Barbara.
