Yellow Ribbon

Effective August 1, 2013, Post 9/11 GI Bill education benefits will cover up to $19,198.31 in tuition per academic year for qualifying veterans and their transferees. Eligible veterans and/or transferees may qualify for additional tuition assistance through the Yellow Ribbon program.

As a Yellow Ribbon participating institution, Dominican will cover up to 50% of remaining tuition (after GI Bill is deducted) with a 50% Veterans Administration (VA) match. Please note, the Yellow Ribbon Program is a first come, first served program. Requests for Yellow Ribbon benefits will be processed in the order they are received and are granted on a space available basis.

To request Yellow Ribbon benefits, veterans and/or transferees must complete the following steps:

  1. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)
  2. Submit a copy of the Certificate of Eligibility to the certifying official in the Registrar's Office.
  3. Upon Admission to the University, pay the tuition deposit to the Office of Admissions and register for courses.

Students will not be considered for Yellow Ribbon benefits until all three steps have been completed.
