Radio and Television News Directors Foundation

Contact : Scholarship Coordinator 1000 Connecticut Ave, NW Washington DC, 20036. All scholarships are open to enrolled students (freshmen excluded) who are pursuing careers in radio and television news. Winners of the Ed Bradley, Carole Simpson, Lou & Carole Prato Sports Reporting and Mike Reynolds Scholarships also receive an expenses-paid trip to the RTNDA International Conference. Candidates must be a full-time college student whose career objective is electronic journalism and have at least one full year of college remaining. To receive an award, winners must be officially enrolled in college and be in good standing. Scholarships are paid in semi-annual installments for one year of study. Tylenol Scholarships

The applicant must demonstrate leadership in their community and school, and intend on majoring in a health-related field. Past Presidents Parley Nursing Award

Applicant must be a U.S. citizen, a resident of Arizona for at least one year, and attending an accredited school in Arizona. Preference is given to an immediate family member of a veteran. Photograph, personal statement, three letters of reference, and transcripts of nursing grades are required to be submitted.  Aetna Nursing Scholarship--$2500

Full-time or part-time undergraduate students attending 2- or 4-year HACU-member institutions and with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0. Students must be pursuing a career in Nursing.  Students awarded this scholarship will be required to attend HACU's Annual Conference Student Track in Orlando, Florida, Oct. 31-Nov. 2, 2009 to be recognized as Aetna Scholars. http://www.hacu.net/hacu/Scholarships_EN.asp Deadline: May 22.

 

The Chrysler Foundation Scholarship Award--$1980

Full-time undergraduates in a 2- or 4-year HACU-member institution with a declared major in: Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Design, Sales, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, General Business. NASCAR/Wendell Scott Award--$1500 undergraduate; $2000 graduate

Full-time undergraduate or graduate students attending 4-year HACU-member institutions with a declared major in Engineering, Business, Public Relations, Mass Media, Sports Marketing, Marketing, Marketing Management and Technology.  Students must possess a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0, and be attending school in the following states: FL, NC and GA. http://www.hacu.net/hacu/Scholarships_EN.asp Deadline: May 22.

 

Office Depot Scholarship--$1000

United Health Foundation Scholarship--$2000

Wachovia Scholars Program--$1000

Wal-Mart Achievers Scholarship--$1000

Full-time undergraduate students attending a 2- or 4-year HACU-member institutions (mainland U.S. only: excludes Puerto Rico members) with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in any of the following majors: Business Administration, General Management, Retail Management or Food Merchandising. Mexican-American Alumni Association Scholarship
