SALEF's "Fulfilling Our Dreams Scholarship" Fund is making higher education a reality for Central American and Latino students, including AB 540 students, with approximately 400 scholarships provided since 1998. SALEF's "Fulfilling Our Dreams Scholarship" Fund offers financial assistance and support to undergraduate, graduate and professional students, often making the difference in whether a student can attend college or not. Contact: 334-544-9490 In addition to $2,000 annual scholarship fund, recipients will be given the option to become a student of Internet marketing. Applicants must only meet three requirements in order to apply for the Sarulu Belkofer Scholarship: Applicants must be a senior in high school or involved in post-secondary education. Applicants must have a learning disability. Ideally, applicants will be able to provide official documentation of their disability. However, an official medical diagnosis is not required due to the often prohibitive costs of obtaining an official diagnosis. Applicants must submit a written essay (maximum of 400 words) in which they explain why they should be chosen as the scholarship recipient. Rather than create boundries with specific subject guidelines, we wanted to let applicants express themselves, their vision, and their individuality on their own terms. In 1956 the Society of Exploration Geophysicists began a program of encouraging the establishment of scholarship funds by companies and individuals engaged or interested in the field of geophysics. SEG saw the need for a more appropriate organization and caused the SEG Foundation to be organized. Any recognized college or university which offers courses of study in applied geophysics or a closely related field may be chosen by the recipients, subject to requirements for admission and any restrictions specified by the sponsor of the scholarship.
