Dominican Service-Learning Program receives Certificate of Appreciation from Marin County Office of Education in recognition of our partnership

On behalf of the SL Program, Julia van der Ryn, Director of SL, accepted the certificate which recognized "the outstanding commitment, collaboration, community engagement, generosity, foresight and dedication that the Dominican SL Program has given to the students and staff of the MCOE Alternative Education Programs. The SL Program has partnered with MCCS for the last 8 years, providing over 150 academic mentors who gave more than 3,000 hours of support to 450 Alternative Education students. Dominican students have been instrumental in helping students to be successful.  This is a true example of changing the future, one student at a time."
