Educational Equity/Youth to Campus:

Increase high-school matriculation and college bound students in Marin—especially in demographic areas of Marin such as the Canal and Marin City. This also includes high-risk youth with a special focus on a restorative justice system that helps to end cycles of youth violence and  empowers youth to take responsibility for their education and future meaningful careers.

Healthy/Safe Marin:

Our Nursing, Occupational Therapy, and Psychology  departments are currently working with seniors, developmentally and physically impaired youth and adults, and other marginalized constituents. We hope to recruit faculty from other departments to focus disaster preparedness work in these communities, a policy level  focus on healthcare, homelessness, etc.

Green Service/ Sustainability/Environmental Advocacy: Skills/Behavior/Education:

A recently formed Sustainability Task Force is examining ways to increase sustainability practices and education on our campus.

We will partner with the many agencies already promoting and implementing these practices in the community in order to increase student awareness and skills. In turn, we will partner with organizations and local schools to assist in the dissemination and implementation of greener business and life skills that exemplify the green spirit of this county.
