The Dominican youtube channel may be used to publish Dominican videos online. Appropriate usage includes: educational videos, videos about the university, and videos of special lectures hosted at Dominican. If you have a video you'd like to upload to the web, and aren't sure if the Dominican channel on youtube is the proper place, contact the Information Technology Department for more information.
We are looking into options for standardizing recording/publishing video at the university. If you are a faculty member interested in using video for recording lectures, please read the section below "How do I upload a video". It includes recommendations for hardware and uploading process.

Bring your video on DVD, CD or other portable media storage device to the IT Department. We are located in Alemany Library. We will upload the video to youtube for you. Please also include the following information:
The Dominican YouTube channel lets us keep all Dominican videos in one spot on YouTube. However, IT needs to upload them all. If you would like quicker turn-around and more direct control, you can simply upload your videos to your own YouTube account, and then post links to the videos on your department's web pages. You can also embed YouTube videos on your department's pages for direct access.
Youtube supports a wide range of video formats such as .WMV, .AVI, .MOV and .MPG. Read more about formats and how youtube works at the youtube help center.
