If you can't register online due to technical problems, call IT at 415-257-0123. Click here for general IT office information. (If you have general online registration questions, call the Registrar's Office at 415-458-3750.) If your computer is having problems with the online registration process you can either:
Problem: When browsing Self Service with Internet Explorer, you get a popup that says "This page contains both secure and non secure items".
Solution: Either use Firefox or Safari instead of Internet Explorer. Or:
If you are using Internet Explorer and have a smaller monitor, you might find that the "mini cart" on the right side of the screen covers up the "ADD" buttons for courses. To fix this, either use Firefox or Safari instead of Internet Explorer (preferred), or you will need to adjust your monitor resolution. To adjust your monitor resolution on a PC, right click your PC's desktop and click "Properties", then "Settings" and move the "Screen Resolution" slider toward "More". This will allow your browser window to show more of the page.
call the Registrar's Office at 415-458-3750 to speak with someone directly or print out your advising email that lists the courses you have been advised to take and bring it to the Registrar's Office

This means that your registration period has not started yet. Return after your registration period opens.

This means you are not part of an eligible online registration group. For example: Non-Degree & first semester students.
Account is on Stop List (Detail)
This means you have been stopped from online registration. The detail will explain the exact reason. For example, if you need to pay a bill in Business Services, the message may read "Bus Office Hold". Once you have taken care of the issue (ex: paid your outstanding bill) you will be cleared to register. Another example would be if you are missing a transcript, the message may read “Transcript Hold”. Once you have provided the Registrar’s Office with the missing transcript you will be cleared to register.
Academic Plans - There are no plans available
Academic Plans are still being developed and are not complete. If you do not have an Academic Plan you will see "There are no plans available." Please work with your Advisor to figure out what courses to take to obtain your degree.
Unofficial Transcript
You now have access you view your unofficial transcript. You may use this tool to monitor courses you have completed and grades received.
You have access to the Dominican University Catalog online, including all your degree requirements, as well as to your academic record (unofficial transcript). These are tools to use if your academic plan in unavailable or incomplete.
