Others are searchable citation indexes, which do not include full-text.. Access to periodicals on the Internet, particularly to full-text, varies greatly and is often not free.
- Search Alemany Library's journal list. Off-campus access is limited to current Dominican students, faculty and staff.
- Ingenta -- (Previously known as Carl UnCover). The world's largest website for the search and delivery of research articles. This site offers access to article summaries from over 20,000 publications linked to the full text of over 4,500 titles. A fee-based, document delivery of the full-text of indexed titles is offered. Prices vary.
- Chronicle of Higher Education: Academe This Week -- Those with print subscription can access the full-text for free after creating a profile. However, the contents and summaries, as well as the employment opportunities, are also accessible to non-subscribers.
- News and Newspapers Online (an extensive listing of world-wide news resources compiled at Jackson Library, University of North Carolina, Greensboro.)

- Dominican University of California Bookstore (EFollett) - order books for your classes online.
- Booksense - An online bookstore run by the now-endangered independent booksellers. Bestsellers from the independents, award winnners, etc.
- Amazon Books -- An online bookstore that claims about 2.5 million titles, Amazon is a wonderful place to browse for books by subject or keyword. Amazon includes reader reviews, comments by authors, links to related titles, and more.
- Association of American University Presses indexes and reviews recent and forthcoming titles in broad subject categories.
- BookWire -- content includes timely book industry news, features, reviews, author interviews, annotated links to book-related sites, and more.
- Internet Book Information Center
- National Academy Press -- The Reading Room provides full-text of selected titles from the National Academy of Sciences, National Academy of Engineering, Institute of Medicine, and National Research Council. There is also a bookstore, anew books listing, and a search feature.
- Online Books Page -- indexes on-line books on the Internet and provides links to significant archives of on-line texts.
