General Requirements for Bachelor of Science in Nursing
To be eligible for the Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree the student must have completed 124–126 units of which 60 units must be in Nursing. At least 48 units must be in Upper Division courses. Courses in the sciences and General Education required for nursing must be completed with a grade of ‘C’ (2.0) or better. Prerequisites in chemistry, anatomy, physiology, and microbiology must be taken within the past five years. During the senior year, nursing students are required to complete a project that is based on research and that addresses a current issue or health problem related to professional nursing practice. A student must have an overall ‘C’ (2.0) average in University coursework and 30 of the last 36 units counted toward the degree must be taken at Dominican.
