Exploring Opera: Bel Canto & Butterfly

Head to NYC and The Metropolitan Opera for two masterpieces of “beautiful singing” and one perennial classic! Begin with Rossini’s enchanting La Cenerentola (“Cinderella”) featuring superstars Joyce DiDonato and Juan Diego Flórez. Next experience Bellini’s gorgeous I Puritani (“The Puritans”) starring Olga Peretyatko and Lawrence Brownlee. End with a visually and dramatically stunning production of Puccini’s Madama Butterfly starring Hui He and Gwyn Hughes Jones. This mix of gorgeous operas, a backstage tour, fabulous meals, pre-show lectures, meetings with opera professionals, and fun optional activities creates an overall experience that’s not to be missed
Arts Exploration: Jewels of Paris

“April in Paris” may be lovely, but May is even better. Join in this 10-day/9-night journey filled with art, architecture, history, performances, meals and more! Experience the “city of lights” like never before! James Sokol (who lived in France and spent much time in Paris) will share with you some of his favorite neighborhoods, museums, sites, restaurants & activities – an exciting mix of popular treasures and lesser-known gems, some of which many tourists have never heard of, let alone visited. Shop the open-air market, have dinner in a private home, take a French wine tasting seminar, join expert guides for private neighborhood walking tours and museum visits, enjoy gorgeous performances in different theaters and churches throughout the city.
