Steve Wood, MS

Steve joined the department 2007 after working with The Marine Mammal Center in Sausalito, CA. He holds a master's degree in biology from UCLA, where he worked on the ecology of restored wetlands in estuarine and coastal California. Since his graduate work, he has focused on science education, teaching in Bay Area schools, national parks, and marine sanctuaries. He also worked to become an emergency medical technician in 2006. Steve is responsible for chemistry and biology preparations and frequently responsible for living organisms and their care in the department.
