Welcome to the Department of Occupational Therapy!

Whether you are an undergraduate student embarking on our accelerated five-year, bachelors to masters program, or a graduate student entering our professional program, we are confident you will gain the knowledge and skills you’ll need to be successful in this exciting and growing health career.

Occupational therapy is a licensed health and human service profession that helps people gain the skills they need to live lives of meaning and purpose, whatever their age or ability level. The occupational therapy program at Dominican University of California offers comprehensive classroom and clinical education in all aspects of practice. You will also learn how to conduct research, design community-based programs, develop management and leadership skills, and implement occupationally focused education for wellness and health promotion.

Our selective program is designed to ensure that you get the attention and support you need to be successful. As a student, you’ll have access to small classes, individual attention from faculty, and academic support resources designed with you in mind.  If you enjoy a challenge, there are opportunities for research projects, special fieldwork placements at top rehabilitation facilities, and creative program development in community settings.

Our full time faculty members have a wide range of clinical, research, and teaching skills. They are joined by adjunct faculty who are practicing clinicians with advanced certifications. All are dedicated to teaching and are motivated to provide you with a dynamic, interactive, challenging, and rewarding education.
