Students with Autism Spectrum Disorders: Effective Instructional Practices for the General Education Teacher

The Center for Autism is hosting a one-day training for general education teachers. The class is intended to provide general education teachers with instructional strategies and supports in social communication, emotional regulation, daily scheduling, classroom design, and sensory processing. Fullbright Award goes to Suresh Appavoo

Dr. Suresh Appavoo, associate professor of Education and Director of Dominican University of California’s Center for Diversity Initiatives, has been selected to receive a William Fulbright Foreign Scholarship Board award to work in the Republic of Maldives alongside government agencies and institutions of higher as they meet a growing demand for primary and secondary school teachers.
