If you have been thinking about becoming a teacher, or advancing your career as an education professional, let the Ukiah Center help you realize your dream. The Ukiah Center was established in 1984, and today hundreds of the Center’s graduates are teaching in local schools in Mendocino, Lake, and Sonoma counties.
Our mission is to prepare teachers to become student-centered educators who ground their practice in current educational theory, work collaboratively, exhibit sensitivity to culture and community, and demonstrate continuous professional development.
The Ukiah Center is conveniently located at the Mendocino County Office of Education. For almost thirty years, we have been offering teacher education programs to aspiring teachers from Mendocino, Sonoma and Lake counties. We are known for our innovative and highly-regarded curriculum, high-quality instruction, small class sizes, personalized attention, and a supportive learning community. Our students learn from instructors who are classroom experts and know local school, district, and county cultures.
Come to our upcoming Open House and begin to fulfill your dream of becoming a teacher.
