Dr. Lisa Ray Kelly is the director of the Dominican University of California, Ukiah Center. She received her Ph.D. and MA from Bowling Green State University, and her BA from the University of the Pacific. She holds multiple-subject and single-subject teaching credentials, as well as an administrative services credential. She has over thirty years of experience as an educator in California elementary, secondary, and postsecondary schools. A former high school English teacher, she has previously held teaching positions at Mendocino College, UC Santa Barbara, and UC Davis. She currently teaches the elementary and secondary student teaching seminar, the Teaching Performance Assessment course, and the education and culture course at the Ukiah Center. Her current research interest is place-based education.
