Dual Credentials

The Dual Credential candidates earn both an Education Specialist: Preliminary Mild/Moderate and a Multiple Subject or Single Subject Preliminary Credential concurrently. You will be required to complete coursework in both credential areas and participate in supervised student teaching or intern assignments in special education and general education classrooms. These 50 unit programs are completed through the transition (part-time) format.

Program Details
- Education Specialist programs follow a transition (part-time) course sequence format.
- EDUC 5301 and 5056 are Fall Intensive courses that begin and end in the summer.
- Classes are generally held in the late afternoon or evening.
- Field work in the schools takes place during the regular school day.
- Student teaching option, though an intern option is also available.
