Fall LeavesWe have a new program offering that is unique to the Bay Area and it only takes five years of study!

The Liberal Studies, the Special Education, and the Master of Science in Education Programs are announcing a Dual Degree/Dual Credential option beginning in Fall 2012. Enrolling in this option leads to both a BA in Liberal Studies and MS in Education degree as well as a Preliminary Multiple Subject and Preliminary Education Specialist Mild/Moderate credential.

This combination of courses across three programs provides a comprehensive theoretical and practical professional preparation for teaching elementary and Special Education students.

The Dual/Dual option combines courses so that there is flexibility for both academic concentrations and  course sequencing. The undergraduate Capstone and the graduate Thesis provide opportunities for in-depth study. Upon completion of the Dual/Dual program, graduates will leave Dominican with two degrees, a BA and an MS and two teaching credentials. The course of study encompasses five academic years and two summers.
