Exemptions From Requires Credential Courses
A program coordinator/chair may exempt a teacher candidate from a required credential course when prior university course work is the equivalent of the program requirement (including meeting the 2042 program standards). To request an exemption from a required credential course, a candidate must provide his/her program coordinator/chair with the following information:
- Provide a request in writing, stating which course is to be exempted
- Provide a copy of an official transcript, showing the prior course work
- Provide a copy of the syllabus for the course in question
- Complete Substitution in G.E. or Major Requirement Form
