Responsibilities of University Seminar Leaders

1. Conduct professional development seminars for interns during intern teaching.

2. Encourage and support interns in developing and implementing a variety of teaching strategies.

3. Facilitate interns’ completion of the CalTPA Tasks.

4. Facilitate Education Specialist Interns’ construction of the Preliminary Portfolio.

5. Submit interns’ grades for the seminar. A passing grade is dependent upon:

  • Successful completion of all required seminar assignments
  • Successful evaluations from the university supervisor and support provider
  • Successful completion of the Preliminary Portfolio (Education Specialist Candidates only)

6. Write a letter of recommendation at the intern’s request [Optional].
