Global Ambassadors
The Institute for Leadership Studies established the Global Ambassador Program in 2003. Global Ambassador’s is an academic organization that supports our International students and students with an interest in global affairs and the interaction of cultures. In addition we offer independent study opportunities from 1-3 units.
Our mission is to promote international understanding and goodwill in the Marin county community while encouraging leadership development and building community among Dominican University of California’s students.
- We provide leadership and communication development for international students through planning and participation in Global Forums.
- We stimulate and strengthen interaction among international students and the Marin Educational community and Dominican University of California through on site visits and presentations at local schools.
- We help deepen international students’ knowledge of American education and culture, and give support to the creation of a family atmosphere for international students through social events such as Dominican/ELS Game Night, International Movie Night and the International Festival.
