Business Administration (Minor)
The Business Department of Dominican University offers curriculum designed to provide students with specific skills needed to succeed in today’s competitive business world.
The minor in Business Administration allows students whose main focus is in another discipline to add a general background in business to their skills and knowledge enhancing success in any career path. A business minor compliments nursing, psychology, science, liberal arts, and other majors. Students will examine foundations, theories and concepts, with an emphasis on real world application through experiential learning.
This minor allows any student to reap the benefits of the versatility of the business degree. Exposure to such areas as economics, accounting, marketing, MIS, finance, and management will help any student succeed in the increasingly demanding professional world. Graduates can immediately apply the theoretical concepts from their major area of study in a business environment.
Student Learning Outcomes:
- A basic understanding of the foundations and core concepts of the major areas in business.
- The adaptability that enables success in competition of the business world.
- A knowledge of the necessary criteria that are required to effectively run any business.
