Let the Construction Begin
We are happy to report that the final hurdle has been passed in obtaining the go-ahead to begin actual construction of the Science Center. So, now that we have finally seen a break in the ceaseless rain, you next can look forward to the sounds of construction -- just in time for finals weeks, I suspect.
We are still on schedule for an April 2007 opening.

NCUR 2007
Dominican University of California will host the 21st National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR), April 12-14, 2007. About 2,000 undergraduates from more than 250 colleges and universities will attend the three-day event. NCUR's announcement that Dominican won the competition to host NCUR 2007 brings to fruition nearly four years of work by the University to secure this major academic conference. The only other California university to host NCUR was the California Institute of Technology in 1991.

A Greener Dominican
In many ways, Dominican University of California is a green jewel lying at the heart of Marin County. In creating a task force to examine policies, procedures, and practices that make Dominican an environmentally friendly campus, there will be a committed group of faculty, staff, alumni, administration, and students to assure that the project is integrated into the very life and values of Dominican.
