Why Dominican?

Dominican Counseling Psychology alumni consistently score significantly higher than the state average on the Marriage and Family Therapy (MFT) Written Examination. 


A recent survey of Counseling Psychology alumni found that:

  • Almost 90 percent of alumni expressed either a high or very high degree of satisfaction in their current job setting.
  • Almost all alumni (90 percent) are currently either licensed MFT's or registered MFT interns.
  • Almost all alumni are currently in the field of counseling (94 percent). A majority of these are in private practice and work in Marin County.
