Welcome to the Department of Political Science and International Studies
The Department of Political Science and International Studies is home to the Political Science major, the International Studies major, and the Pre-Law minor. The Department is distinguished by its commitment to a genuine liberal arts education and by its commitment to promoting the development of the knowledge and skills requisite for an informed, active, and responsible citizenship. Our programs prepare students for a variety of careers which include, for example, policy analysis, teaching, law, diplomacy, business, government, campaign management, and journalism.
The Faculty of the Department of Political Science and International Studies represents a wide range of expertise and experience. Each faculty member is committed to providing students with a challenging learning experience informed by the most complete and current information available.
Our Political Science, International Studies, and Pre-Law students represent a wide range of interests and experience as well. We are very proud of their accomplishments as undergraduates, and we proudly recognize their achievements as alumni of our programs.
The Department of Political Scinece proud to sponsor the Alpha Delta Omicron Chapter of Pi Sigma Alpha (the national political science honors society) and a pre-law chapter of Phi Alpha Delta (the international coed legal fraternity).
