The ADC major in English is designed for working adults who have different scheduling needs. The program offers evening courses that lead to a BA in English. The program is similar to the day program, challenging students with diverse literary texts, cultural exploration, and critical theory. Pathways students will have the opportunity to study a wide array of literature, including poetry, drama, short stories, and novels, with the convenience of evening classes to accommodate the needs of working adults.
The ADC program in English, with a writing emphasis allows working adults to study English literature, while also looking closely at the craft of writing. Faculty members will work with ADC student writers to develop their creative work. Students will be challenged to write in several different genres, giving them the chance to explore their talents. Students may choose a Creative or Professional Writing Emphasis.
