Meet The Students

Through hands on experiential work, Communications and Media Studies students at Dominican participate in a wide variety of expressive student productions that help them gain valuable professional skills with a strong liberal arts base.

Leadership, teamwork, research, writing, and production exercises prepare students for professional careers in entertainment or news media, corporate production departments, advertising agencies, public relations firms, TV stations, production and post-production houses, and for further graduate level study at institutions of higher learning.

Students conceive, write, storyboard, schedule, cast, direct, shoot, broadcast, interview, edit, screen, and present their productions. They also learn to package their products and to prepare publicity programs and social media campaigns for not only a campus audience, but also a global audience as well.
