It is our privilege to present Transformation: The Art of Chris Hardman at Dominican University of
California.
Artist Chris Hardman, the founder of Antenna Theater and Antenna Audio Production, is a well-known
artist. His art is a study in human perception. It investigates how the mind transforms visual information.
His illusionistic three-dimensional creations burst out of the traditional art history frame, questioning the
definition of art and the boundaries of sculpture.
He has exhibited his art internationally, including at the Smithsonian Institution, the Massachusetts
Institute of Technology and the Presidio of San Francisco.
This exhibition and the accompanying catalog are the result of a team effort with the students of the
Museum Studies class. The class members include Kenyon Anderson, Rachel Castro, Sabrina Dunbar,
Monica Fernandez, Drew Mills, Alexandra Moran, Matthew Pattillo, Matthew Polizzi, Hanako Redrick
and Anne Tignanelli.
This exhibition would not be possible without the broad support from the campus community. We owe
a special thanks to Dean Nicola Pitchford, Professor Foad Satterfield, Professor Leslie Ross, Professor
Lynn Sondag, Professor Steven Polacco, Mr. David Albee, Mr. Marc Yu, Ms. Anne Reid, Mr. Ethan
Annis, Mr. Adolfo Real, and Mr. Kenneth Fish.
