- The Philosophy minor emphasises the history of metaphysical, ethical, and political philosophy in the West and includes studies of logic, Asian philosophy, philosophy of religion, and evironmental philosophy.

- The Religion Program focuses on the Biblical roots and theological development of the Judaeo-Christian tradition and on the cross-cultural study of humanity’s religions including Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, Confucianism, Taoism, and Native American traditions.

- Sustainable Communities (SC) is a unique and vibrant cohort program for working adults that addresses current needs in society by integrating environmental education with cultural analysis, social action, public policy, and hands-on skill building.
