Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society

ALPHA LAMBDA DELTA is the National Academic Honor Society for First-Year Students. This is a prestigious honor to add to your list of many accomplishments at Dominican!

Alpha Lambda Delta was formed in 1924 to acknowledge full-time first year students who earn a grade point average of 3.5 or better during their first full year of college or during their first semester of college. Only the top twenty percent of the first-year students from their entering class are eligible for this honor.

There is a lifetime induction fee of $50 which covers national dues, lapel pin, membership certificate, and local chapter dues through your senior year. Members will also receive Alpha Lambda Delta honor cords to wear at commencement.

Students are invited to join once their first semester of college performance has been evaluated. Each year we hold an induction ceremony to acknowledge this academic achievement.

For this spring 2013, the induction ceremony will take place at 2:00pm in the afternoon of Friday, April 12th, 2013. The ceremony and festivities will be held at the Guzman Lecture Hall on campus. Students who accept new membership into this honor society are encouraged to attend and are welcome to invite as many guests as they like.
