Dominican University of California celebrated 10th year anniversary this 2014!
Alpha Lambda Delta was formed in 1924 to acknowledge full-time first year students who earn a grade point average of 3.5 or better during their first full year of college or during their first semester of college. Only the top twenty percent of the first-year students from their entering class are eligible for this honor.
There is a lifetime induction fee of $50 which covers national dues, local chapter dues, lapel pin, and membership certificate. Members will also receive Alpha Lambda Delta honor cords to wear at their graduation commencement ceremony.
Students are invited to join once their first semester of college performance has been evaluated. Each year we hold an induction ceremony to acknowledge this academic achievement, which we hope will be the first of many for our students.
For the Spring 2014 induction ceremony, our festivities began with Dominican's A Cappella Workshop led by Professor Singleton. Dominican's Dean of Students, Dr. Paul Raccanello, was our Keynote Speaker and Dr. Jeane Redsecker shared her experience as a ALD alumna.
