Dominican, SUPINFO Open San Francisco Campus
- Dominican has entered into a partnership with SUPINFO International University, France’s largest accredited higher education institute of information technology. The partnership will bring about 240 students to a new Dominican University of California/SUPINFO campus in San Francisco and eventually will enable Dominican to offer select business programs to students enrolled at SUPINFO campuses overseas.

Business Student One of 10 Nationwide to Receive Prestigious Scholarship
- Junior Maribel Mendieta has been selected as a 2008 Hispanic Scholarship Fund (HSF)/Citi Fellow. She is one of only 10 students nationwide to receive this competitive scholarship.

Civil Rights Pioneer Discusses Obama Victory
- Civil rights pioneer Melba Beals, chair of Dominican's Department of Communication, talked with the Associated Press, the San Francisco Chronicle, and ABC-7 about Barack Obama's victory. Beals was among the nine African-American teenagers - The Little Rock Nine - who 51 years ago advanced the civil rights movement with the integration of Little Rock's Central High School.
