Welcome to our web site. As you explore these pages and come to know more about our teaching and learning, you will see why Dominican is a university where students thrive.

Dominican enjoys a century-long reputation for excellence in scholarship, research, and community outreach. We offer more than 60 programs of study that reflect the diversity and creativity of our faculty and students. With almost 2,000 graduate and undergraduate students, we are able to successfully blend personal direction and small classes associated with smaller schools with the academic resources of a larger university.

Dominican’s focus on interdisciplinary studies provides a challenging academic environment. In the sciences, we excel at involving undergraduates in sophisticated research projects that enable our students to present at academic conferences nationwide and publish alongside their faculty mentors in peer reviewed journals. In the humanities, our students can combine dance and musical performance with the study of philosophy, literature, world cultures, and religion. We also offer strong undergraduate professional programs in business, education, and nursing and graduate offerings that prepare our students for leadership roles in these disciplines, as well as counseling psychology and occupational therapy.
