Academic Scholars
The Dominican Academic Scholars program was created by the Office of the Chief Academic Officer to honor students who have demonstrated high academic achievement in scholarship, research, or creative activity.
Students can become Academic Scholars through either faculty nomination, excellence in the Academic Showcase poster presentations. (Students from all classes and all disciplines are eligible.)
Dominican Academic Scholars and their faculty mentors are honored at an annual dinner hosted by the President and Executive Vice President and Chief Academic Officer, Luis Maria R. Calingo.

In 2008, 29 Dominican students were honored as Academic Scholars. Among them was talented Mathematics and Natural Sciences student Jeremy Krames who was accompanied by his mentor, Professor Vania Coelho. |

2007 Academic Scholars
