Field of Dreams Newsletter January 2009
Dominican University of California is planning to build a new 110,000 square foot outdoor athletic complex in preparation for its move to NCAA II in September 2009. Project news and updates follow:
| Calling All Student-Athlete Alumni |
George Salter has fond memories of his days as a Penguin and wants the same for future student-athletes. He is a Dominican Field of Dreams donor.
 |
"Alumni support for a project like the Field of Dreams is critical. In less than a year, Dominican will enter the Pac West Conference of NCAA II, the next level of athletic competition. It's important that future Penguins have the ability to practice on quality fields and prepare themselves to compete against better student-athletes. It's important to give recruits a reason to choose Dominican. And it's important for the University to graduate healthy and well-balanced individuals who have a shared identity replete with fondness and nostalgia for the time they spent in San Rafael."
