A Message from the Director of the Institute for Leadership Studies

The Institute for Leadership Studies is pleased about the success of its newest opportunity in leadership development, the Dominican Leader Board.

Since its inception in the Fall of 2006, the Leader Board has proven to be an anchor of the Institute's leadership development initiatives. By bringing together top community leaders, the Leader Board will foster a confidential setting for the advancement of leadership development in the Bay Area. Combining the expertise of academics and practitioners from diverse backgrounds, the Board will tap the vast talent of Bay Area leaders and provide a forum for investigating applied leadership theory and addressing the challenges facing our community leaders.

Through the dedication of the Leader Board members, community businesses and organizations reap the benefits of shared knowledge. We at the Institute are very excited about the opportunities that the Leader Board provides. We look forward to a growing circle of Leader Boards that will bring our mission "to advance the study, teaching, and practice of effective, ethical leadership in our world" to life.
