I-9 FORM
Urgent notice to new faculty members
All individuals who are employed by Dominican University of California are required by federal law to complete what is called an "I-9" form within three (3) days of their first day of work. This form documents for the record that the person is either a U.S. citizen or is authorized to work in this country.
You must come to Bertrand Hall in person and see one of the following people: Tressa Breslin or Gale Sheehan in Human Resources. In order to establish your eligibility to work, certain documents must be presented. For an American citizen, this would typically be either a passport or both a driver's license and an original social security card; for a lawful permanent resident, this would typically be an Alien Registration Receipt Card containing a photograph. Other documents are acceptable; a full list is on the reverse side of this notice.
Please be aware that the University cannot legally pay someone who has not completed his/her I-9 form. If you work off campus or are not on campus during regular business hours, please call Gale at 415-257-0103 to make other arrangements that comply with the legal mandate.

RE: Policy on Sexual Harassment and Other Unlawful Harassment
It is extremely important that all members of our community be aware of the University’s firm commitment to being a community of individuals who treat everyone with both consideration and respect. We want to ensure that each person who is associated with the University – as well as any prospective student or member of our faculty or staff – feels valued as an individual and respected for his/her accomplishments.
The University’s policy on sexual harassment, as well as the procedures to be followed if harassment is perceived to have occurred, is posted on the Human Resources intranet site at inside.dominican.edu and is included in the Staff Handbook. The policy will also be incorporated in an upcoming revision of the Faculty Handbook.
The brochure entitled “Sexual Harassment is Never O.K.” is attached for your review. If you have any questions or concerns about the issues of harassment on campus, please feel free to contact me. My office is in Bertrand Hall, and I can be reached at 257-1365 (campus extension 1365).
