Common Data Set
The Common Data Set (CDS) is a collaboration between data providers in the education community and publishers. The goal of this collaboration is to provide quality and accurate information to any and all those involved in a student’s transition into higher education.
The CDS is organized around 10 topics: (A) general information, (B) enrollment and persistence, (C) first-time, first-year admission, (D) transfer admission, (E) academic offerings and policies, (F) student life, (G) annual expenses, (H) financial aid, (I) instructional faculty and class size, and (J) degrees conferred.
