Dominican Penguin Pass (ID Card)
Remember to carry Idenitification (Driver's License, State ID) with you to gain your Penguin Pass from the I.T. (Information Technology) Department in the Library. As an on-campus student, you will need your Penguin Pass to gain access to Pennafort and Fanjeaux Hall. Please make an effort to stop by IT Wednesday, August 20 to get your Penguin Pass.
No one will be permitted to move in early under any circumstances. We cannot accommodate early arrivals.
Information about specific building/room assignments for new resident students will be emailed to you in late July.
The links below contain information designed to help you make the transition to campus living, so please review everything carefully. Information on what to bring to campus is outlined for you. We know how hectic and stressful this transition is for both students and parents, and we have designed a process that will hopefully take some of the stress out of heading off to college.
Move-In Day Info:
Moving into your room on campus is both exciting and intimidating for some people. While it is great to have the help of family members in unloading and hauling boxes, the arrangement and set-up of the room is something that should be done at the end of the day when all the roommates are present and families and friends have departed. It takes some adjustment in learning to live with a roommate, and the first step in this adjustment process is to discuss and plan the layout of the room. Where should we place the TV and the stereo? Should or shouldn’t we bunk the beds? Who gets what dresser? Working collaboratively in arranging and setting-up your room will help tremendously in opening lines of communication between roommates – and you get to learn a lot about one another in the process.
A helpful hint…
When you get to campus, park your car in the Edgehill Village parking lot, behing Caleruega Hall (cafeteria building); the check-in location will be just outside Caleruega. Once you have signed all your forms, you’ll be issued your room key and be given instructions on the best place to park your car to unload your stuff.
